A day rate, a fixed-price upgrade, and retainers. No mystery quotes, no discovery-call gatekeeping.
Most development pricing hides behind a discovery call. Mine does not. My day rate is £500, my Umbraco 13 to 17 upgrade is a fixed £8,999 plus VAT, and I offer monthly retainers from £500: Essentials is 1 day a month at £500, Growth is 2 days at £950, Partner is 4 days at £1,800. If those numbers work for you, we can skip the dance and talk about your actual site.
Where a job can be fixed-price, I fix it before we start. Where it cannot, I track every hour in Toggl and you see the log. Either way you know what you are spending before you spend it. Booking through the Simon Antony agency costs more per hour; hiring me directly by the day is the leaner way to buy the same experience.
Contracts are just as painless: issued and signed digitally through Onboardo, contract software we built ourselves, so starting an engagement takes minutes rather than days.
The day is spent by the person you hired. Not a junior, not an offshore team, not a project manager relaying messages. Me, in the code, on your problem.
Reading your brief, asking questions and writing up what I did are part of the service, not lines on the invoice. You are billed for building, not for talking about building.
Every hour goes through Toggl and you can see the log. If a job comes in under the estimate, you pay for what was used, not what was quoted.
Full-service marketing, brand design, and anything I would have to learn on your money. If your job needs a team rather than a freelancer, I will say so and point you at Simon Antony or another good fit.
Tell me what you are running and what needs doing. I will confirm the price band in my first reply, usually the same working day.
Tell me what you're working on and I'll come back within one working day.
